Create Your Own Path: A Panel Discussion

Chapter Be_Create Your Own Path_Oct 2014_14

Kïrsten of Chapter Be with panelists Stacy, Tiffany, Sarah and Melissa

Chapter Be had the chance to host a panel discussion, Create Your Own Path, at Makeshift Society Brooklyn on October 23rd which featured four women who had changed their careers in order to follow their own creative path. Each woman is a self-starter and entrepreneur in her own right, and shared her story of how she decided to make the leap – which included both struggles and gratifying, rewarding moments.

The panelists talked about how running your own business teaches you an immense amount of humility, that it requires taking “turtle steps” (small daily steps till you reach your ultimate goal), that it is worth just testing things out on your own social media channels to get free and meaningful feedback and that it is of vital importance that you take the time to cultivate and build a community of support and partners around you.

A full video will be available on YouTube this week, but until then please check out the pictures below which highlight the evening and event!

Thank you to the speakers and everyone who attended! I look forward to hopefully connecting with you again, either in person or online!

Many-many thanks to Makeshift Society Brooklyn for providing the space and assistance for the event! They were more than amazing and the space created a warm and intimate environment for the panel discussion.
