70/100: Be High Flying

70/100 || Last night on my evening walk, I stopped at a local playground – specifically the swings. Swings are definitely my favorite part of any playground – they would always be my go-to. There is a freedom you feel when you swing – it has a way of bringing you to the present moment and really making it hard to think about anything by the euphoria of the movement. Whether it is a slow swing or a high swing – it’s that feeling of your feet being off the ground and in the air – both are relaxing and exhilarating all at the same time. I eventually had to give mine up for a little kid (seemed the kind, adult thing to do!), but while it lasted it was so calming. There was a warm breeze and an innate playfulness in the air (playgrounds have a way of doing that). When I lived in St. Thomas, my favorite bar was on St. John – and that was because 1/2 of the seats at the bar were swings…I mean, genius! I plan on having at least one swing in my future backyard (place, TBD), where I can go and swing under a big old, wise tree…back and forth – back and forth. Losing track of time and worries. Sigh.

On another note – I am starting to feel like this 100 Day Project is becoming repetitive in my reflections and somewhat of a chore. Which is the opposite of what it is intended to do. I am not sure if that is normal for a project like this – especially at this point in the 100 days, so I am going to keep an eye on it over the next few days, and might decide to end it early. TBD! It does not feel playful to do something just for the sake of doing it – so will see how I continue to feel and go from there. Welcome any feedback from others who are working on their own project who have advice to offer up!
