38/100 || Since Day 38 was my birthday, I decided to make it a #DayofPlay! Several years ago, I made a commitment to myself that I would always take my birthday as an opportunity to fill it with the things I love. When I lived in NYC I had a tradition of going to my favorite spot in Central Park, where I would read and journal about my past year and what I want for the year ahead. I would then head to Met Museum to see the Costume Institute’s newest exhibit (as it always launches the first weekend in May). For the past two years in Denver I’ve switched that up with the Denver Botanic Gardens for lunch and journaling and then the Denver Art Museum. Since I was missing Rei Kawakubo’s exhibit at the Met this year, I was pretty excited to still be able to see some of her amazing pieces at the Shock Wave exhibit and then was able to take time at both the Mi Terra and Shade exhibits – all amazing and worth seeing!
It was such a lovely day – and I was away from technology and social media for most of it. Which was AMAZING! I got to top it off with tasty eats with some of my favorite peeps at Tupelo Honey! The day was just 12 hours of my favorite things. Reminding me that sometimes we need to be indulgent and immerse our days in loveliness and delicious moments. Now I’m off for a new trip around the ☀️!
