19/100 || I am a bit late on posting because I am in Portland for my friend’s birthday celebration, but I have been being playful over the last few days – it is amazing how we allow ourselves to be so much more playful when we are on vacation or out of our daily routine. It makes me wonder why we give ourselves so much more space to be playful and have fun when we are away vs. when we are home?!
On Saturday we had the chance to go to the Portland International Rose Test Garden and it was just in its beginning stages of blooming, so I can only imagine how gorgeous it is when it is in full bloom! It is quite extensive and breathtaking. Whenever I am around flowers – from gardens to wildflowers to flower shops – I find myself in a completely different state. They have an beautiful way of capturing my attention and calming me down. So, to be surrounded by them feels like the height of playfulness to me. I really do stop and smell them – as cliche as it is – and I breathe a little slower. Their beauty really captures me and it is so aligned to my playful spirit. I am going to have to come back to Portland when they are at their peak -as the thought alone makes me smile!
