The exhibit that just closed at the Center for Visual Art in Denver this weekend was Paper Work which highlighted works of art all through the medium of paper. As CVA explained, “Exploring the limits of agility and strength, in this exhibition paper becomes emblematic of tenacity and transformation and incorporates the fields of mathematics, engineering and design.” I was delighted that I was able to check it out before it closed. I didn’t know what to expect, and was quite inspired by the way each artist used paper to develop a piece of pure creativity. Both the scale and delicacy of each piece was impressive, and I left with the thought that it is rather amazing that a simple piece of paper can be imagined into so many different and creative things. Reminding me that each of us has a unique perspective to offer the world and that it is important that we express our individuality through the means that makes the most sense to us. Think big, create bigger!
